The Eagles have agreed to terms with linebacker Jatavis Brown on a one-year deal, per agent Drew Rosenhaus. Brown, 26, is a former 5th-rd. pick of the Chargers. Has started 33 games in 4 seasons. Played 50% of Chargers' ST snaps last year. He'll have a chance to compete for playing time on a defense that has invested lightly in the position.

Malcolm Jenkins didn't waste much time surveying FA options. He said if he wasn't returning to Eagles, then Saints was his first choice. He called New Orleans “home” and said his second daughter's middle name is Nola. “For me it wasn't really about the highest bidder… At this point in my career I want to be near my family, I want to be on a team that can win, and I want to be happy." Wants to "help push the team just that one more step that I think it needs to be back in that Super Bowl again.”

The Eagles have acquired CB Darius Slay from the Lions, per Adam Schefter. Philly also gave Slay a three-year, $50 million extension per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. Slay was second round pick in 2013 - the last year Eagles DC Jim Schwartz was head coach of the Lions. Eagles get one of the top corners in the game, who is coming off a down year by his standards.
