Todd Gurley rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in a 27-9 victory over the Saints. Malcolm Brown rushed for 37 yards on six carries. Sean McVay was asked if Gurley splitting carries with Brown was the new normal. "It's hard to say right now," McVay said. "Through two games, I think they both have done a nice job. As the season continues to progress, I think we'll really find out." When asked what his understanding of his role was, and if this was the new normal, Gurley responded: "Ask Sean. I'm not the head coach. I'm good."

The Rams, beneficiaries once again of a botched call by the officials, lead the Saints, 6-3, at halftime. Officials blew a Jared Goff sack fumble dead, as the Saints scooped and went 89 yards for the score. After an official review, officials reversed their original call of an incomplete pass to a fumble -- so the Saints took over at their own 13-yard line. Aaron Donald suffered a back injury in the first half, but returned to action. Right guard Austin Blythe remains questionable to return because of an ankle injury.
