Since it's the season for giving and giving thanks, I've decided to give out medals to the secondaries in the NFC and AFC. I've broken them up into four categories: bronze, silver, gold and the ultimate prize is the platinum medal which sparkles like the cornerbacks that play for that team. Here's my look at the AFC, which has the best secondaries in the league and also some of the very worst. While the bottom four teams are there for several reasons, they could move up the ladder if maturity or injury issues start to improve.
The Cincinnati Bengals are the guys with the platinum ice. They are the best of the best in the AFC. The Bengals have Deltha O'Neal and Tory James, who have 10 interceptions and 12 passes defensed. That's crazy coverage, especially when you consider that their third cornerback, Keiwan Ratliff, has three interceptions, so one through three they can handle the work.
